Physical Therapy for Men, Women, and Children. 803-716-9723
At Pelvic Prime, your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. There is no double-booking, no crowded schedule, and no dividing my attention between multiple patients. This allows me to provide individualized, one-on-one care for your entire appointment.
That also means that when an appointment is reserved, someone ultimately has to absorb the cost of that time if it is cancelled too late for another patient to use it.
I understand that people get sick. Emergencies happen. Cars break down. Children need us. Work schedules change. Sometimes circumstances arise that are completely outside of your control.
A cancellation fee is not a judgment about whether your reason was legitimate, whether you could have prevented it, or whether you "deserved" to miss your appointment.
It is simply how Pelvic Prime allocates the financial responsibility for time that was reserved for one patient and can no longer be filled.
I know a cancellation fee can be frustrating, particularly when the reason for missing an appointment was unavoidable. That is exactly why the policy is based on the timing of the cancellation rather than the reason for it.
Trying to decide whose emergency is serious enough, whose illness is unavoidable enough, or whose circumstances deserve an exception would require subjective judgments that I don't believe are fair or consistent.
The policy allows me to extend compassion to the person while maintaining the same business boundary for everyone. Thank you for respecting the time that is reserved for you and for helping make this one-on-one model of care possible.
