Dry Needle Physical Therapy

Promotes healing

Dry needling is a safe, effective, and precise way of treating trigger points. Trigger points create a build-up of metabolic waste, including lactic acid, inside the tissue. This causes tightness in the muscles that block blood and oxygen flow.

Dry needling can loosen stiff muscles, ease joint pain, and improve blood and oxygen circulation in the body. Addressing trigger points can optimize sports performance, help athletes recover more quickly from an injury, and prevent conditions from becoming chronic.

Dry needling services will be provided by a credentialed physical therapist that has received specialty training. After you receive treatment, you will be taught new motor control patterns to keep the trigger point from returning. If we only do the dry needling treatment, the relief is often only temporary and you will need follow up sessions when the trigger point returns. By doing the treatment and learning new movement patterns, we can make sure you recover from the trigger point and need fewer, if any, follow up sessions.
